GATLINBURG ELOPE
If you’re not from the Smoky Mountains, it can be hard to know the best places to elope in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Here’s some of our faves!
THE FOOTHILLS PARKWAY
The Foothills Parkway is my absolute favorite for mountain views! Mountains for DAYS! It’s just the most beautiful scenic drive, over bridges and rivers, with mountains as far as you can see at every pull-off. It’s a must-visit spot on your Gatlinburg vacation, even if you aren’t looking for an outdoor wedding ceremony location in the Smoky Mountains. The drive itself is perfection; trust me!
For ease and a mountain backdrop in Gatlinburg, this spot is all around number 1! It’s an easy drive over from Pigeon Forge, super scenic, and best of all? There is NO HIKING for these views. The location is just steps away from your car, which makes everything so much easier, especially for those with babies and elderly attending their ceremony. Plus, who wants to hike and get sweaty before pictures?
GREENBRIAR
Greenbriar Smoky Mountain wedding ceremonies are nothing short of magical; they’re so whimsical and beautiful. Known for it’s riverside ceremony locations, and stunning wooded areas, it’s a very versatile location to have your Gatlinburg wedding or Smoky Mountain elopement.
ELKMONT
Elkmont is absolutely an underrated gem in the Smoky Mountains as far as places to elope! As an old ghost town, it may not be the first spot on your mind, but the setting is SO pretty. It offers rustic buildings, an old fireplace and chimney, woods, and ponds. It’s a super divorce spot that makes a perfect rustic elopement ceremony.
The fireplace and chimney is my favorite part! It can be dressed up as a fabulous focal point, or left to it’s rustic beauty.
CADES COVE
No Smoky Mountain picture location list would be complete without Cades Cove! It just doesn’t get any prettier than this stunning motor-tourism spot. Whether you want a great spot for your ceremony, a jaw-dropping drive, or a spot for nature photography, Cades Cove should be on everyone’s list when they visit the Smokies. Eve if you just drive through, you’re likely to spot a bear or two.
This spot is a bit further out, with a twisty drive, but if you’re up for it, Cades Cove is so worth it! You’re literally surrounded by mountains; you can spin around and see them in every direction. The little cove is full of beautiful spots. It offers mountain views, fields, rivers, and rustic cabins. There’s so much to see, it’s best to do with our Elegant package to make the most of it <3.
